Overview
Phoenix Realty Group has institutionalized the market for urban middle-market housing by aggregating developer opportunities. Residential and commercial projects are financed with equity capital from the funds it manages. Our urban private equity funds produce market-rate housing for the middle-income workforce and neighborhood revitalizing commercial properties in urban areas. Our housing, constructed primarily as middle-income for-sale homes, includes condominiums, condominium lofts, townhomes and single-family homes. Projects are both new construction and adaptive reuse, in some cases preserving historic structures and converting their interiors to residential units. Our neighborhood retail projects support the success of our residential developments, revitalizing the urban core by creating jobs and sales tax revenue while providing the kinds of services necessary for the community to thrive. Our tax credit funds finance the development of properties to serve the needs of low-income individuals and families who can qualify for assisted housing. These properties are primarily apartment buildings that offer studios and one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Some projects are designed to serve the special requirements of specific groups, including seniors, abused women and children, and HIV/AIDS patients. Our community revitalizing funds acquire existing affordable housing properties that are at risk of losing their affordable status and works with local and regional developers to redevelop them. Our business lines receive strong local government support enhanced by a significant local office presence (Los Angeles, San Diego and New York) and partnering with community organizations such as: Genesis LA Economic Growth Corporation, The Housing Partnership Development Corporation and The San Diego Capital Collaborative. |
